We're a Certified B Corp
We've always believed business can be a force for good. Now that belief is written into how we operate.
In May 2026, Phorest became a Certified B Corporation — verified by B Lab against rigorous standards for how we treat our people, our community and the environment. We received a B Impact Score of 89, and we see that as a starting point, not a finish line.
It's not just a badge. Through B Corp's Mission Lock, Phorest's constitution has been legally changed to weigh the interests of our people, our community and the environment alongside shareholders in every decision we make, a commitment that holds even through company changes.
Here's some of what that looks like in practice:
We share ownership. 25% of Phorest is owned by our people so when the company grows, everyone has a stake in that.
We're closing the gap. Our mean gender pay gap sits at 4%, less than half the Irish national average, and it's something we track closely.
We're growing roots, literally. Through the Phorest Forest, we've planted a tree for every new salon that joins us (800 in 2024 alone) and bought 15 acres of forestry in Co. Longford, Ireland.
We give back. In 2025, our team completed 712 hours of paid volunteer work, and Phorest made six-figure donations across more than 20 charitable organisations.
We're not alone in this. Phorest is a member of the B Corp Beauty Coalition, and a proud supporter of the Open Doors Initiative, helping people into education and employment.
