We usually respond within three days
About Phorest
Phorest powers over 11,500 hair and beauty salons across the globe with our salon software. But we’re just getting started. Our mission is to capture 25% of the global market - that’s one million salons and a billion-dollar company.
One of the key areas enabling our growth is PhorestPay, our integrated payments solution. By simplifying how salons accept and manage payments, PhorestPay is central to how we help our customers succeed. As our payments business expands, we need strong project leadership to scale it globally.
We’re growing fast and want to bring in a new team member to help us move even faster. You’ll be joining a group of highly motivated individuals who are passionate about what they do and committed to helping salons thrive.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a commercially driven and operationally savvy Project Manager to join our Finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a payments-focused role, supporting the strategic rollout and operational success of PhorestPay across multiple regions.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll work across Product, Sales, Marketing, Support, PayOps, and external partners to deliver high-impact projects that touch everything from feature enablement and onboarding to customer communications and regional expansion. You’ll also collaborate closely with regional teams to ensure plans are locally relevant, feasible, and aligned with broader market strategies. You’ll be a key figure in ensuring our payments roadmap delivers on its commercial goals.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage end-to-end strategic projects within the PhorestPay stream, including the rollout, enablement, and optimisation of payment features across multiple markets
Act as a central liaison for key external partners and internal stakeholders, driving effective collaboration, feature implementation, and commercial alignment
Coordinate cross-functional delivery across Product, Commercial, Marketing, Support, PayOps, Operations, and regional teams to ensure alignment with market needs and timelines
Monitor progress, surface risks, and maintain momentum by proactively unblocking issues, prioritising actions, and ensuring accountability across teams
Communicate project updates and outcomes to senior leadership, providing clear visibility into progress, payments adoption metrics, commercial impact and customer experience outcomes
Promote operational excellence by creating structured project plans, leading retrospectives, sharing best practices, and supporting continuous improvement
Provide guidance and support to colleagues and other project managers, promoting rollout best practices and cross-functional collaboration
Be flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities, occasionally supporting smaller initiatives within the business as needs arise
Who You Are
Have 5+ years in project or programme management, ideally with experience in payments, fintech, or SaaS
Are commercially minded and understand how project execution ties into product adoption and revenue generation
Are highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including with senior stakeholders and external partners
Bring a collaborative mindset and are comfortable working across time zones and cultural contexts with regional teams
Are comfortable challenging and holding others accountable, while maintaining trust and collaboration
Are confident using tools like Jira, Slack, Notion, G-Suite, and other project management platforms
Are a natural problem solver who takes ownership and follows through
Can influence without authority and work cross-functionally to align goals and actions
