The Opportunity

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on leader to help drive the success of Phorest Pay’s financial performance. Supported by an Analyst and reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll have direct accountability for shaping our pricing strategies and ensuring long term success through profitable deals. Working closely with Product, Engineering and Operations you will also be an instrumental partner to Sales and Customer Success teams, providing the commercial foundation for their success.

By fostering key partnerships, shaping pricing models, and supporting growth across regions, you’ll have a direct hand in our success. Your impact will be felt across the business, as you help us scale efficiently, protect our margins, and maintain our competitive edge.

What You'll Do

• Commercial Strategy & Growth:

You'll take the lead in shaping and executing Phorest Pay’s pricing strategies to ensure we remain competitive and profitable. You'll work closely with our Sales and Customer Success teams to identify and act on growth opportunities. Additionally, you'll help set and manage revenue targets, ensuring they align with our overall business goals, and drive the company’s growth trajectory.

• Financial Performance & Forecasting:

You'll have ownership of Phorest Pay’s financial forecasting, developing models to predict revenue and expenses. By analyzing commercial performance and assessing risks related to new initiatives, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring financial stability and success.

• Vendor & Partner Management:

Building and nurturing strong relationships with our vendors is crucial. You'll negotiate and manage contracts that align with Phorest Pay’s objectives, ensuring favorable terms and long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

• Margin Protection & Risk Management:

A significant part of your role will be proactively protecting Phorest Pay’s revenue and margin across all revenue streams, and ensuring continuous cost optimisation.. You'll identify and mitigate risks related to vendor relationships, financial stability, and compliance, safeguarding business continuity and long-term success.

• Strategic Analysis & Insights:

You'll lead data-driven commercial analysis, providing insights that uncover growth opportunities and potential risks. Your analysis will inform strategic decisions for Phorest Pay, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.

Who You Are

• An experienced commercial leader or partner manager, with a proven track record of driving growth and profitability in payments, tech, merchant or similar industry

• Background in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics or other quantitative area

• Expert in developing and executing pricing strategies, negotiating complex deals, and protecting margins to deliver measurable financial impact

• Strong experience in financial forecasting and reporting, who can leverage data to inform business decisions and drive revenue growth

• Proven success in utilising enterprise analytical software to identify key insights and solve complex problems

• People manager with a history of building, developing, and leading high-performing teams

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, consistently delivering results while managing multiple, high-stakes projects

• Exceptional communicator with a proven ability to build lasting relationships and influence key stakeholders

• Creative and strategic thinker, with an ability to deliver innovative solutions that protect and grow margins
