Phorest is the number 1 salon software brand for premium independent salons in those markets and our next goal is to become a platform upon which other companies can build applications for premium salons.
Our system touches every point of the salon experience. We have the in-salon software desktop application, Phorest Go (the native staff application), online bookings website for salons, and custom native apps per salon. In a typical month, Phorest processes 3 million appointments and we send over 3 million SMS and 4 million emails. We process 200k online bookings per month and over 150 custom built white label native apps.
The Opportunity
Are you highly motivated, driven and looking to hit the ground running in a challenging and rewarding role? Great! We are looking for someone who is passionate first and foremost about data migrations, but is also customer focused and able to learn quickly.
As a Junior Data Migrations Specialist, you will have an impact from day one in reporting on and improving the data migration process. You will be responsible for onboarding new clients to the Phorest platform with as much of their previous data as possible. You will use critical thinking skills to address and remedy any issues during the migration process. You will collaborate with Sales and Onboarding on a daily basis to ensure client expectations are met. There will also be a collaboration with our Product team to map out developmental improvements to the process.
The Specifics:
Proactively develop and maintain technical expertise in relation to our products and servicesBreakdown competitor software databases
Write SQL queries to extract data
Improve upon existing processes to expedite workflow.
Document and update migration process for new and existing softwares
Collaborate with Sales and Onboarding.
Manage customer data correction requests
Carry out data quality checks
Any other reasonable duties as required by Management
What we're looking for:
B.S. in Computer Information Sciences or similar discipline.
Experience in Windows and Mac operating systems.
SQL Query writing experience in a professional environment.
Comfortable writing joins, unions and other functions.
Familiar with MySQL, Access, and Oracle Databases.
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
Problem solving skills, and can investigate and assess issues quickly.
Energy and drive to learn to use technology to improve processes and solve problems under your own direction.
Nice To Have:
Customer Service experience in a technology or SAAS environment
Exposure to Postman.
Can read and understand Python syntax.
Has worked with simple API structures for web based applications.
